A Partnership Focused on Access, Care, and Continuity

Pineapple Healthcare and QCare have partnered to help patients access HIV prevention and treatment services while exploring health insurance options when available. This collaboration is designed to support patients who may be uninsured or underinsured and need help navigating coverage, care, and next steps.

What Is the QCare × Pineapple Program?

This program helps eligible QCare patients connect with Pineapple Healthcare to explore health insurance options and receive ongoing HIV prevention or treatment care.

Patients who qualify may be able to receive:

  •  Help exploring health insurance coverage

  •  PrEP or HIV treatment visits

  •  Required lab work

  •  Ongoing care coordination and support

Who may qualify?

You may be eligible to participate if you meet all of the following:

  •  You live in the state of Florida

  •  You are on PrEP (HIV prevention) or HIV treatment

  •  You are willing to:

    • Attend medical appointments (virtual or in person)

    • Complete required lab work

    • Filled prescribed medications

  • You are able to use:

    •  Pineapple Healthcare (in person or virtual), or

    • QCare’s virtual platform (if you choose to remain with QCare)

Insurance Review &
Enrollment Support

If appropriate, Pineapple Healthcare will connect you with My Pride Life, our enrollment partner, to:

  •  Review insurance options

  •  Check eligibility

  •  Complete enrollment if approved

Pineapple Healthcare does not enroll patients directly. All insurance enrollment is completed through My Pride Life.

Contact Pineapple
Healthcare

If you’re interested, you’ll contact Pineapple Healthcare directly. A Case Manager will:

  • Review your situation

  • Explain program expectations

  • Determine next steps

Ongoing Care & Compliance

If approved and enrolled:

  •  You must stay active in care

  •  Attend appointments

  •  Complete labs

  •  Pick up medications as prescribed

Failure to meet these requirements may result in removal from the program.

Appointments & Labs

  • Virtual visits are available for patients who are not near the clinic.

  • In-person visits are available at Pineapple Healthcare.
     Lab work:

  •  Done at Pineapple Healthcare during in-person visits

  • Or at a nearby Quest Diagnostics location for virtual patients

Can I Stay With QCare?

Yes. Patients may choose to continue receiving services through QCare.

If you stay with QCare:

  • You will continue receiving testing kits by mail

  •  You must complete and return kits as instructed

  •  Care continues through QCARE’s established process​

Choosing to remain with QCare does not automatically enroll you in the Pineapple insurance support program.

Annual Renewal Requirement

If enrolled in an insurance plan through this process:

  • Coverage must be renewed every year​

  •  Around November, you will need to reconnect with My Pride Life to renew

  •  Failure to renew may result in loss of coverage
